About Us
Dansplaats Arnhem offers a space for contemporary dance. We offer a place for (young) adults to learn, create and share dance. Both beginners, intermediate, advanced dancers and professionals are more than welcome. We offer classes in various contemporary dance styles.
Professionals can participate in a training with us, organize workshops and meet each other. Do you want to start a class or movement research yourself, make a production or train in the form of an open jam for example? Then please contact us. We are happy to facilitate a space for initiatives that support contemporary dance in Arnhem.
Regular Classes
The season consists of a total of 36 weeks (September 2, 2024 - June 29, 2025) and is divided into multiple periods.
It is possible to enroll during the year. Keep an eye on our website for current offers and timetables.

Dance Improvisation
with Jansje Flügge

Dancing in the present moment, moving from an intuitive place. It can be initiated by something inside yourself (b.e. an emotion or your imagination), something in your surroundings or by input from the teacher. In my classes I'll create a safe and open space where we can enjoy movement out of curiosity, you don't need to prove or achieve anything. Explore your physicality, find new ways of moving and connect to your body and mind on a deeper level. Letting go of expectations to find more creative freedom in how you move.

The Fighting Monkey classes offer a platform to learn and develop in a dialogue with ourselves and others. By cultivating a playful curiosity we explore the relationship we have with ourselves and our environment through movement. We discover this landscape through silence, articulations, coordinations, improvisations, partner work and a wide variety of tools, games and movement situations. How can this exploration support your dance, movement, creativity and/or life?
Training Professionals
Dansplaats Arnhem want to be there for the professional dance scene in and around the city. We want to be there for dance professionals and students (academically trained and self-taught) and offer them a space to meet each other and build the community in Arnhem. Payment
SINGLE CLASSES
Would you like to come by spontaneously or pay per class? That is certainly possible!
€18,- per lesson
Depending on when you start, you buy a class package consisting of a certain number of classes. The teacher will discuss this with you.
€15,- per lesson
FIXED CLASSES
We ask a small contribution for renting the space. You can pay directly after each training in cash or by scanning a QR code.
€5,- per training
To encourage dance students to gain experience outside of their studies and to come into contact with the professional field, we offer a separate prize.
