About Us
Dansplaats Arnhem offers a space for contemporary dance. We offer a place for (young) adults to learn, create and share dance. Both beginners, intermediate, advanced dancers and professionals are more than welcome. We offer classes in various contemporary dance styles.
Professionals can participate in a training with us, organize workshops and meet each other. Do you want to start a class or movement research yourself, make a production or train in the form of an open jam for example? Then please contact us. We are happy to facilitate a space for initiatives that support contemporary dance in Arnhem.
Regular Classes
The season consists of a total of 36 weeks (September 2, 2024 - June 29, 2025) and is divided into multiple periods.
It is possible to enroll during the year. Keep an eye on our website for current offers and timetables.

Research Lab with Jefta Tanate
Want to dive into Jefta Tanates latest creation process? In this 2-day program Jefta invites you to join his research for his new performance “when nobody is watching” (working title). We will work on developing different scenes, situations and characters using physical and theatrical tools. In his creation process Jefta makes use of movement, text and material to research different situations and emotional states. This program forms a part of a larger research Jefta is doing on his way to creating his new performance. We are very happy and honored to have him share and deepen his research at Dansplaats Arnhem! This program is aimed at professional dancers, dance students and autodidacts working in the professional dance field.
Date: 25 & 26 of January 13:00-17:00 (8 hours total)
Location: Zuhause Studio Arnhem
Pay What You Can-system: €45 basisprijs | €55 standaardprijs | €65 steunprijs

To apply you must fill in the registration form. After revisiting your application
Jefta will select the dancers to join this program, and you will be informed
within a few days.
Training Professionals
Dansplaats Arnhem want to be there for the professional dance scene in and around the city. We want to be there for dance professionals and students (academically trained and self-taught) and offer them a space to meet each other and build the community in Arnhem. Payment
SINGLE CLASSES
Would you like to come by spontaneously or pay per class? That is certainly possible!
€18,- per lesson
Depending on when you start, you buy a class package consisting of a certain number of classes. The teacher will discuss this with you.
€15,- per lesson
FIXED CLASSES
DANCE STUDENT
To encourage dance students to gain experience outside of their studies and to come into contact with the professional field, we offer a separate prize.
€7,- per lesson
COMMUNITY TRAINING
We ask a small contribution for renting the space. You can pay directly after each training in cash or by scanning a QR code.
